The new knee is totally my own
I had been seeing Dr Candelora for about 3 or 4 years. He said my knee was bone on bone and needed to be replaced. I was terrified because a friend of mine had a bad experience with a knee replacement. ( Of course she was not a patient of Dr Candelora.) He did not pressure me and worked with me using medications until I decided I could no longer hold out. I finally had the surgery. I will admit that the first few days were painful, but not half as bad as I expected. After ten days of rehab I was walking with a cane and could pedal a stationery bike. After two more weeks of out patient therapy I got rid of the cane. It is now six months post surgery. I walk fine. I do water aerobics every day. The new knee is totally my own. Most days I don't even think about it. I would even consider having my other knee done in the near future.
